EVERYTHING IS SCARY

What are some good valentine's day ideas? I'm talking to a girl (we're lesbians) but it's not official yet. I don't wanna do big presents or anything. She's totally not girly at all and not really into the whole valentine's thing. Should I go big to show how much she means to me, or simple because we're not together and she's not the romantic type. I have no idea what to do! HELP ME!?!?

Oh I’m pretty awful at presents, I get so nervous about the whole deal and can never think of anything right. So instead I mainly do a big gesture every once in a while rather than regularly-spaced presents (like for my boyfriend’s joint birthday/Christmas present I surprised him with a trip to Charleston).

But all of that aside, it’s good that you’re nervous about it, that means you’re invested!! I think that moments are nicer than things— maybe make her a Valentine’s dinner, but first do some sneaky research and make all of her favorite foods and deck out your kitchen/dining room for her. It’s not so over-the-top that you’ll worry about freaking her out, but it’s something she’ll definitely remember and will show her that you really care.

I’m sorry if that wasn’t awfully helpful, but I hope you have a lovely Valentine’s with her!!
